We ordered J a My Twinn baby on Septmeber 6, 2003. I would ceratinly think that they would have enough time to deliver it by the holidays. So, no doll by Thanksgiving. I call. I am informed that the company no longer makes their dolls in Denver, but in China. Um, ok. J's doll was shipped regular mail on November 19, 2003 from China, and should take 6-10 business days to arrive. Ok, now, I'm no authority on the postal service, but it can take 6 days for an envelope to get to the other side of town. I'm not believing the very apologetic lady on the other end of the phone, but I am assuming that it will arrive by mid December. Second week in December arrives, no doll. I call and sit on hold, no one ever answers. I tell David that at this point, I am sure that we will never see the doll and I need to call the credit card company. I am also sure that the company is done. This morning I go to the site and read their heartfelt letter.

So, yes, it appears they are done. It also appears that they are liars. In a news release they state that all orders received by December 7th will be received by the holidays. Yeah, right, our September 6 order has yet to arrive. They blame their downfall on September 11th. This is the 3rd holiday season since then. They moved their facilities overseas. But, the problem is September 11th?

Yeah! I'm in the same boat! Our order (with Doll) was "shipped" Dec. 1. I, too, made multiple calls to Customer Service. Ironically, and accessory order "shipped" around Dec. 14 arrived on Dec. 24 (from China)! So, I have clothes, but no doll! Before they closed, I applied for a refund on a $35 express shipping fee. What do you think the chances are I'll see that? What are our legal options here, do you know? I think our credit card was charged when the order was "shipped". So, at this point, I guess it would be a fraud complaint? I don't get the Sept. 11 reference either! The only thing I can figure . . . Did you see the Denver Post article where the company was sued indirectly by UPS for over $900,000.00? Maybe that had something to do with doll delivery that year?! All I can say is good luck! It sounds like lots of us are in the same situation. I too ordered from My Twinn. I ordered dolls for both of my girls at the first of Novemeber and have yet to receive anything. My mother in law ordered clothes for the dolls and girls and received a partial shipment on the 23rd. I called my credit card company on Saturday when I learned the company had shut down and they credited my account the full amounts for the dolls. They said they had had several calls regarding My Twinn. I don't expect to ever see my dolls. It was lovely explaining to 2 five year old girls on Christmas morning why the dolls they had asked for were not under the tree.

I know everyone is complaining, but I have to say that I ordered 3 dolls in mid-November and received all of them before Christmas. I also ordered some clothing during the second week of December and just received that shipment today (12/26).

My daughter got the doll last Christmas, but all she wanted this year was more "stuff" for the doll and two non twin " friend" dolls. We haven't gotten anything. She was very mature when they weren't here for Christmas because I said she would get them eventually, but after reading your comments I beginning to wonder. She must have check our front porch 3 times today hoping the box was there. We placed our order the day after Thanksgiving. Since they weren't having to make anything I felt this was enough time. According to their web site and my order number it was shipped on December 17. HELP!

I received 2 dolls the day after Christmas. One was perfect and the other was someone elses child. Wrong hair, face, eyes & skin. Where is my Natalie?? If someone else has my Natalie (face = T4, Skin = Very Fair, Eyes = blue green, hair = brown, long & straight with no bangs), I may have your child (face = T1, Skin = light brown, Eyes = brown, hair = dark blonde, long, straight with bangs. I just wanted to say that I did receive my doll a week before Christmas and it came 5 weeks from ordering on line so I think that is pretty good since the box did come from China. I got lucky I guess! Now I need to find some matching clothes!!

Uggghhh!!!I am also so angry!! I ordered 2 dolls formy 2 daughters Dec 2 and they never came!! Some clothes came from China via the post office Dec 23. I spent almost alltheir Christmas "allowance" on these damn dolls!! Can anyone tell me how they are sent for theones that got them, are UPS or the post office, fed ex??? We ordered on 11/10 and received some accessories on 12/13 but no doll yet. I sent a detailed letter to my credit card company disputing the almost $300 in charges. You have 60 days from the invoice date to dispute the charges. I suggest you print the statement on mytwinn.com stating that they are out of business as back up. If you received accessories but no doll, you can dispute those charges also. You need to state that you want to retun the accessoires but have no way of contacting the company.

Well, I'm with all of you! This is our 3rd My Twinn. I ordered one for my youngest Oct 3rd and finally got it 6 days before Christmas. Too bad the Santa presents of accessories and a MT baby didn't come. Had to rewrap and reshop for two little girls. Thank GOD I ordered a MT baby from ebay and got it in 3 days. She said she worked for the company and said they were very screwed up. I called 3 times a week, waited 30-45 minutes ont he phone. When I saw their "heart felt" letter, I almost threw up! What scum bags. Blame pure stupidity on terrorists. Give me a break! I called my CC company and they tookt eh charges off-said they were getting quite a few calls. Other friends also got dolls right before Christmas but wrong clothes, etc..
Then, I got a "Sale" catalog yesterday! I'd like to bop these morons on the head if I ever see them. Probably won't see our doll or our outfits. Happy ebay shopping people!! We all got screwed. We had the same trouble with My Twinn. Ordered a doll on October 20, recieved part of the order the day before thanksgiving. No doll. Called everyday from dec 5 to Dec 19th when I got the lovely recording. We did recieve the doll on Dec 20-- they had stated it had been shipped 11/13!!! Still waiting on clothing ordered on 11/20. I did find out that you have 60 days to dispute a charge on your credit card and you can file a complaint with the better business bureau in Denver, Colorado. I did and they emailed that they could still contact the company. The doll that I recieved was correct and beautiful too bad we wont be able to get anything else.

I as well, ordered a My Twinn doll and recieved confirmation via email and phone that the order had been shipped on November 20, and will take up to 18 business days to deliver. I called the company a few weeks before Christmas, and was reassured that my order had been shipped and should be arriving shortly. At that time, I placed an order for matching clothing for the doll and my daughter. As of Christmas Eve, neither had arrived, but on Christmas morning, the postman delivered the clothing from China, but we have no doll to wear the pj's. Sorry to all of you who had disappointed children on Christmas morning as well!!

I ordered a my twinn doll on Nov 17th, and it was supposedly shipped Dec. 1. I,m still waiting.Did call and get it taken off my cc. Since Christmas I've received 2 of their sale catalogs.When I tried to call about my order in mid December, they weren't taking calls for customer service, but I could still place an order, if I was interested.Great customer service!

We, too have been screwed by My Twinn. We ordered our custom doll on October 2nd and were told that it would arrive in 3-4 weeks. We also ordered a collar and leash set for a My Twinn pet. Supposedly these items were shipped on December 9th. I truly doubt that we will ever see them. When we called My Twinn to complain, they assured us that the dolls would arrive by Christmas and they sent us a $15 My Twinn gift certificate as an apology. A gift certificate from a bankrupt company? That does us a lot of good! Also, it was really hard explaining to my younger daughter why her sister got a doll and she didn't. How can these creeps sleep at night knowing that they broke thousands of little girls hearts on Christmas morning? This company knew that they were having financial troubles. If they had any morals at all, they would have shut down months ago- BEFORE the holidays. We have filed a complaint with visa. The My Twinn bank is igoring visa. Legally, visa has to give My Twinn 60 days to respond. If they don't respond, visa will refund all of our money... Thank you, visa. At least someone out there is still interested in protecting the consumer...

Well, I now know that we are not alone. I have been searching the web all night for more information on My Twinn's suspended operations and came upon these messages. We too ordered a My Twinn doll in mid November and have not received it. I am crushed. Our 6 year old daughter was supposed to receive it as a Christmas present. However, as time got closer and closer I began to worry and my daily trip to the front porch to see if a package arrived became a nightmare. Then, we decided to give it to her for her birthday on Dec. 28th thinking maybe it was just due to the holidays but of course it never came. Yes, we too have received bits and pieces of the clothes from China over the last two weeks which actually gave me hope. However, after reading all of the other sad messages that the rest of you posted; I am quite certain we will never see the doll. This is such a disappointment. My husband even made a beautiful wooden bed for the doll. I'm sad to say it will probably never be occupied by a 23 inch doll. They should be ashamed that they didn't shut down months ago. We plan to try to get the charges from our credit card back too but I'm not feeling too positive about any outcome.

My Mother In Law ordered a My Twinn Baby for my daughter in SEPTEMBER. It arrived at her house on Dec. 23rd. The problem is that it's the WRONG DOLL. Wrong face, wrong hair, wrong eyes. In fact, the dolls eyes aren't even properly placed--she's cross-eyed!

I had to laugh because the box for the babies says, "have you ever seen such a beautiful baby?". When I opened the box, I yelped because I was shocked to see such an unattractive baby!

We want to get the right baby, but that looks like it's not going to happen.

I ordered my 5 year old a doll on line on Dec. 1st and it was guarnateed to be rec.d. before Christmas. Well I kept checking on line days before and up to Dec. 24th and still no doll or accessories. I had to reshop! On Sat. Dec. 27th the stuff was rec.d. from CHINA and the wrong doll to boot! I went to their website and was soooooo angry to see that they have closed! How horrible to do this at the holidays! They knew well in advance that they were in trouble! And to blame it on 9/11! How disgusting! I have contacted my credit card and they told me to attempt to ship it back to Colorado with a return receipt requested. If I do not get my refund within 30 days after returning to then contact my credit card company and they will refund me. Thank goodness there are still good people out there!

I too, am a disappointed My Twinn 1st time customer. I ordered a My Twinn on Nov. 18th and was guaranteed a by Dec. 23rd delivery . I am still waiting . I wrote a letter to my daughter from Santa letting her know it was lost in the mail. Now after reading all of these posted letters, I am horrified that if I do get the doll, it will be the wrong one. Even more, that the doll will never come- the only gift my 7 year old wanted.

I ordered a doll for my daughter from mt Twinn on October 3rd and also still have not received it. It was the only thing my 4 yr old daughter had asked Santa for. It was shipped Nov. 4 and I had called everyday from December 1 and was told it would be here. Luckily we had other gifts under the tree and we left a note from Santa that the doll and clothes fell off the sleigh and the elves would make a new one and he would bring it. She runs to the tree every morning looking for it. Any suggestionsif this doll doesn't come? she will be heart broken. I was sick to my stomach when they put that note on their website about closing down. Is there anyway to take action against them if the doll never comes?

Seems to me if a company knowingly accepts orders with no intention of producing such product which sounds like fraud . . and . .if the same company uses the "MAIL" to send out cataloges for more orders of something they will never produce, that sounds like mail fraud. Gee, the Gov' hates it when companies use the mail for fraud. Even a company that files for bankruptcy can't hide from mail fraud charges! Kenn Thiess, CEO of My Twinn, won't cry from bankruptcy but he will cry when led away in cuffs for mail fraud. Hey, everyone out there who didn't get their Twinn Doll for their little girl, lets go get 'em! Does anyone know a district attorney in Colorado (preferably one who also has a little girl)that would like to look into this?

I ordered a doll for my 7yr old, which I too have not recieved, it was to be from santa. When it did not come I got her some thing else and wrote a letter from santa that they were having trouble making a dolly as beautiful as her. Now I feel really bad reading all this. I have a little girl wanting to cry every night when she has to go to bed knowing she still doesn't have her dolly. (it was the ONLY thing she asked for) How can any company be so cold to do this to little girls expecially over the holidays. I hope some day they will feal the pain they have caused.

I have also ordered a My Twinn Doll. My daughter had wanted one for years and I was finally financially able to buy her one. It was the only thing she had ask for at Christmas time and the company even suggested to me to have a back up present when it hadn't came on December 15,2003.
Its a ral shame that all these little girls hearts were broken. My credit card company is giving them until Decmeber 31, 2003 to come up with a doll or a refund.
I did manage to come with a back up presnt for my daughter, a Lee Middleton doll. They are not matched to your child but you can match them up pretty good. They are gorgeous. my little girl was very happy.

I ordered my dolls and received them at the first of the year. I did order clothes for them and my two girls for christmas. I paid the "Holiday Shipping" charges and they did not arrive for Christmas. I did receive them today though. It was a matching girl and doll set. I ordered a small in the shirt and I got an XXL. I am going to call my CCard company and see what they say. Then I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau. I encourage every one who placed orders to follow by complaining to the BBB. Well it sounds like every one is in the same boat as me. I ordered two dolls October 15 received one email November 14 saying one doll was shipped then another email November 19 saying the other doll was shipped. Dec 3 received the doll shipped on the 19th. I called, like everyone else and on December 13th I was told by a manager, that if I did not receive a doll by December 19th I need to call back and they will credit my account. Of course when I called back they had ceased operations. What a crock of crap! Thanks god for credit card companies! I would like to know what everyone is doing about this. Does anyone know of a web site or something so this fucking dick of a CEO gets fucked up the ass!

another CEO to the jail I say. Ours showed up today. 29 Dec 03. Postoffice said they sent them as cheapily as they possibly could without the doll hitchhiking. Little Cuddly still on the Banana Boat. I bought a replacement on ebay she showed up in two days on Christmas Eve, thrilled my daughter. New Doll is just not quite as fine as 2001 EBay girl. Oh well. Mastercard and Discover NO PROBLEMO crediting atall. Especially when I told them MyTwinn internet site with whiney letter. I want a huge discount from BAD company!

same thing here. we called for 'santa' and placed an order for a doll outfit and a child's outfit. they were promised for christmas. christmas eve i called the company and find out they are closed down. today the 29th the outfits finally come. right doll outfit but wrong child outfit.. an extra large top when a extra small ordered. the pants totally wrong size too. they have a link for investors now on the site.. that is all that is available so i sent my response (!!??!!) there. good idea i am going to have the card company credit our account. we need to start speaking out against all the out sourcing of our companies. i use to love this company when everythng was done here.. a reputable company would have stopped taking orders in september!!

Holy Cow! I had no idea so many other little girls were broken hearted on Christmas morning! We had to give our daughter and IOU from Santa. Every morning she runs down stairs and checks for the doll! I told my husband we can't take the Christmas tree down until the doll arrives... but how long is it going to take? I too ordered a doll on 11/16 and still no doll. It was supposedly shipped on 12/9, but of course I haven't seen it. I am going to try calling the credit card co. tomorrow to get my charges refunded. My child, like others, watches the mail lady drive by everyday and not stop with her gift. I didn't realize that others were in the same situation as me. I also received a catalog this week. Did anyone get tracking numbers with their orders?

I also ordered the my twinn doll for my daughter in November and am still waiting. I guess I won't hold my breath. I think that its too bad that they couldn't have at least given some kind of tracking number when they notified people that the order had shipped, like so many companies do. It would have saved them for being blamed for orders not arriving. But it looks like they ARE TO BLAME! And what kind of company shuts down less than a week before Christmas and then blames it on September 11th?! Give me a break!! What nerve!! Sounds more like bad management to me.

I am a customer also who is outraged...my order was placed as of December 11 2003...$185.90 and no indication even at that time that there was any problem with my order, and they certainly had no trouble accepting my money by credit card...extra money for express shipping and handling...and today Dec. 29th I recieved a new catalog for my twinn...telling me sale begins from Dec.26th and ends January 31, 2004...so, if they are really out of buisness why are they still sending new catalogs for orders..and I'm sure still accepting money from innocent people who don't know what they are doing? Ofcourse I still haven't recieved my doll either! and on teir new catalog they still give no indication that they aren't even open for buisness...

Wow - am feeling very fortunate b/c my daughter's twinn baby did finally come 2 days before Christmas (so much for express shipping only taking a 3-4 days). The baby's wig was 1/2 off - have had to keep re-gluing with superglue since I don't know what else to do. For all of you out there who've been screwed over and are still waiting, I'm including the address that was on the box that came from CHINA!!! Hopefully this will help you find your items. The box has several lables, and the packing slip did say exactly what was in the box (SURPRISE). It has a United States Postal Service Global Express Mail tag.

Count me in. I ordered our My Twinn on October 17th. I called customer service, which is an joke and then kept saying I would be getting it any day, that started in November. The clothes started arriving around Thanksgiving, the pj's looked more like a large than a small, they gave me a return authorization but I guess that won't be happening. The doll finally arrived December 22nd, not at all looking like my daughter. I actually felt sick to my stomach when I opened the box. This was her big gift, she is a twin and has been asking for this doll for years. The hair is much shorter than the virtual model, the face is different and the hair is darker. The back of the doll wasn't even sewn properly. She also has a rub on the end of her nose and a few light marks on her face. I called my VISA, anxious to see what happens.

I also got slammed by the My Twinn company. The doll and clothes were ordered on 10/14. My card was charged on 10/16. It was charged again on 11/24 and then again on 12/16. OK..three charges?? NO doll or anything else from the company. Today a doll arrives.....NOT MY DOLL. I didn't get the doll that I had ordered, or the clothes that were to come with it. Now, I am stuck with the darn thing and having to pay for the 10/16 order...my credit card comany will only dispute charges within a 60 day limit! I don't feel I should have to pay for that doll that isn't what I ordered!

I too ordered my daughter a my twinn doll on November 7th 2003 ..medium brown skin, long hair no bangs ... made numerous calls and sent numerous emails. I finally spoke to a customer service rep.. the day before the announcement that they ceased business. I was assured that the doll was in transit and I would have it before Christmas. Well needless to say Christmas has come and gone and no doll was rec'd.
I agree with Dan a reputable co. would have stopped taking orders in Sept.

I too ordered a doll from My Twinn. Got the doll although not exactly what I ordered. Luckily it is close enough that my daughter doesn't seem to mind. Also ordered other accessories that didn't arrive or arrived and were the wrong sizes. I disputed the charges with my credit card company on Dec. 22 (I was already suspicious something was up by Dec. 15th and had called by credit card company to find out what I needed to do). Anyone still needing/wanting a doll my consider American Girl Today dolls. Not as poseable as My Twinn and are only 18 inches but they are still nice dolls.

Hi all. Just one more angry mom with a dissapointed daughter to join this miserable club. We received an e-mail confirmation of shipment on the 24th of November, and still no doll. My mother in law did receive two matching outfits in early December that had been odrered at the end of November. We are still watching for that magical delivery day, but will keep checking back here for any updates you all have.

I ordered two dolls from My Twinn the first week of Novemeber. Doll #1 was shipped (according to my e-mail) Nov. 21 and Doll #2 was shipped Nov. 24. Doll #2 arrived on Dec. 19 and come Christmas I still had only one doll and I was so upset. I did give the one doll to my daughter because it was an important part of my gift to her, but the other daughter was crushed not to get one too. On Dec. 27, the second doll did arrive. The dolls were the ones I had ordered, and my daughters do adore them (they hadn't wanted American Girl dolls because they didn't think they looked like them). I'm so annoyed at the blatent dishonesty and terrible mismanagement of this company. I hope you all either get your money back or get your dolls. I would, in principle, return the dolls and demand my money back, but as I said, my daughters really do adore the dolls.

I placed an order with My Twinn on Oct. 12 and have had the same miserable experience as all of you. This doll was my 4 1/2 yr. old grandaughter's Christmas gift. I called My Twinn over a dozen times between Dec. 1st and my last telephone call was around 11:00 a.m. Dec. 19th (3-4 before they went out of business)looking for the doll I ordered. I sent emails, left a message on their President's voicemail & never got any response back from My Twinn. I held on the phone line one night for 1 hr. and 20 minutes before someone finally answered my call and I still received no answers from My Twinn regarding my order except they were sure I'd get my doll. I finally received a doll in regular mail on Dec. 22nd (that was supposedly shipped on 11/17) and it is not the doll I ordered! I have someone else's doll at my house and have no idea where the doll is that I ordered or if it was ever made at all. I ordered a doll with straight, medium length blonde hair with bangs, light blue eyes and fair skin. I even sent pictures & paid $20 extra for the doll's hair to be styled like my grandaughter's. The doll I received is a brownish/black complexed doll, with long curly black hair and brown eyes dressed in black pants and a red sweater with black & white tennis shoes. It'a beautiful doll, but not mine. I wish I knew whose doll I have so I could Fed X it the little girl who I am sure wanted it for Christmas. I'm sure someone else could possibly have my doll order too.

I filed a complaint with the BBB in Denver, Colorado, after finding out the week of 12/15 on their website that My Twinn had an unsatisfactory rating. Since My Twinn went out of business, my complaint is not solvable.

I also disputed all the charges for the doll I ordered, clothes, assessories, etc. on my credit card as many of you did. I got another statement this past Sat. from my credit card company and there was another $2.12 charge from My Twinn! I have absolutely no idea what that was for, so I disputed it also. Also, 2 days after Christmas, I received a sale catalog from My Twinn!

I do believe the doll I received belongs to one of you and one of you might have the doll I ordered. My order number was W0630001. The doll I received is order number P0891171. The stupid company put my order number on the outside of the doll box I received and the other order number on the inside of the box to the left of the doll's head. I guess the employees at My Twinn cannot read. Maybe this same inexcusable mistake happened to some of you too.



I tried to paste the links into the message but it didn't work. My husband found two very interesting articles after we got screwed by these people. I was heartbroken, like the rest of you. It is a shame we couldn't file a class action lawsuit since they are going bankrupt. If people could do it over video charges, then I would think this would be as strong. Our story is the same. We ordered in early Nov. We got a confirmation of shipping with a number for tracking. We could never track it from their web site. I'm thinking of buying a Kenn doll and using a little vodoo. Whats with TwiNN and KeNN? I wonder if that #%$&* had a nice Christmas!?

We ordered a T11 with dark blonde hair and brown eyes around the first of November for our granddaughter. Same story -- wife spent time on the phone with MyMoronn and got the same song-n-dance.

We have disputed the charge with AMEX -- they're good by the way. No doll. No clothes (red sweater with black stripe).

If a different doll shows up at the house, I'll post it here.

For all of you who have the wrong doll, be sure to check ebay. Some dolls that were "wrong" are showing up there! Maybe you could work out a deal with the seller, or sell the the "wrong" one you have?! Just a thought!

I read an article in the Denver newspaper interviewing the My Twinn CEO about their recent "misfortune" (cry me a river)...and he wonders why his company collapsed. He stated that these dolls were shipped from China and are taking anywhere from 45 or more days to arrive.

I could have adopted a child from China and received them quicker than this and since some of the clothes did arrive, I might just have to adopt to at least have someone/thing to wear them.

But I'm not Bitter!!!!

Same song and dance!! I too ordered a doll back on November 11, 2003 and paid extra for a special painted face and hair, even got my picture that I mailed for it in the mail on December 7, 2003, called to verify everything was okay. Shirley from my Twinn assured me everything would be here the week of Christmas. Well, December 30, 2003 and still no doll. My my daughter's doll should have dark brown eyes, Two-Tone Golden brown hair and fair skin tone, black pants and red sweater. please e-mail me if you think you might have the wrong doll. I am still waiting on the ups man to drop off the box. How do we know if the doll will never come. The company should be required to give us more info. I'll give it one more week then I'm contacting my lawyer. Ha Ha

Not a bad idea Debbie (the lawyer). The BBB in Denver says MyTwinn has NOT YET filed bankruptcy. Anyone out there know how we start a class action suit? Maybe we should contat the Attorney General in CO.
